Mind showing where exactly they could expect someone "worse" than TEH Tenshi? The objective of the whole thing was to overthrow her, it isn't like they could expect another "boss" coming out, especially that Kanade herself doesn't look like your average mid level boss (the only entity in the world that can materialize things that are "beyond reality").
The fact that its routine would still leave a slight chance that she would show up. If it was not for Otonashi they would have started shooting on sight. Even Yuri was surprised that she even got inside. I think the worst part of it is that after everything the SSS put her through, her meal ticket being taken was like twisting the dagger and it wasnt even on purpose. We have not had many scenes that show a personal side of Tenshi and imo something a person might eat when they are depressed is pretty personal. I guess we can just chalk it up to her have one hell of day. But the scene with her reaching as her ticket blew away broke my heart.

Part of war is anticipating the result of your attack and how the enemy might respond. I find it hard to believe the SSS would not have any info on the VP considering he serves under Tenshi. Removing her from office would create a power vacuum that obviously someone would have fill. Also it seems this guy way more Totalitarian than Tenshi was. The fact he stated he was not going to be as easy on them as Tenshi was suggest that hes given this some thought. He didnt come alone he bought what looks like a disciplinary squad with him. Since they are regular students they cant shoot them. I think outright rebelling against this new Prez is going to be harder than actually dealing with Tenshi.

I think you are jumping on the gun here. Although Kanade is surely having the short end of a stick here, remember that:
1) They definitely go through a lot of hardship because of her, likewise (and they certainly got killed more than once, directly or indirectly due to her actions as well).
2) The operation objective was to mainly overthrow her role, having in mind that she was a machine/NPC. Even if they had that new information in Episode 4, they did not know she was human like them. And if you have noticed their behaviour, and also the information in the light novel, Kanade hardly explained them about her circumstances.
That is true but i think its double edged sword they were killed for breaking rules but they are breaking the rules because they feel its justified. I cant bring myself to say its ok just because she never explained her situation my mind just wont compute it like that. Her reactions are a result of the SSS actions so who can we really call the bad guy here (if there really is one) both sides seemed justified in what they are doing.

I have not read the novel so maybe its explained or presented better in the written word. But from what i can see they had a hint or at least Yuri had a hint that Kanade was not what they had thought she was after finding the files in her PC. I would have tried to dig further and gathered more intel but they didnt. Yuri seems to hide a lot.

From a warfare perspective, involving an enemy you -can't- deal with (as shown in the prequel, and her unresponsive usual demeanor), there is no way you can involve the enemy's "mindset" and possible reaction. I guess the privilege of being able to have an overal view of the situation as a anime watcher isn't all that much of an advantage to understand each party involved.
I agree

Don't get me wrong, Kanade is obviously not the troublemaker whatsoever, but she shares a huge responsibility to this mess as well. Whereas the SSS don't know everything yet, it isn't like they had better options (and as shown by Otonashi and Yuri's comments, these 2 aren't brain dead or clueless not to notice Kanade's reactions). As much as Yuri and her gang make a lot of troubles, Kanade doesn't help anything by playing the mute cold queen.
I agree that maybe if she opened up a bit maybe a dialog could take place. But she doesnt look like someone who is comfortable with her own feelings let alone sharing them with others. I concur they both do share responsibility for the problems. I guess i feel like in a way she is getting bullied even though i know shes far from being innocent. Im probably just being overly sensitive lol but i am looking forward to seeing how they counter this new guy. Who looks like he would like to start his own Gestapo
