I haven't read that far, but I highly suspect you'll find out in episode 7 of the anime for the reason mentioned in episode 3.

Spoiler for volume 5+volume 3 I think ...:

Izaya framed Shizuo again with the murder of 3 members of another syndicate (the one that's mentioned by the old man, whom Shizuo went ballastic on and said, "I'm only willing to give you 5 (?) minutes of my life" back in episode 2). Shizuo, Shinra, and Izaya all used to be high school classmates so that might've something to do with it.

Pattern seem to be Celty's perspective + perspectives of whoever the volume focuses on.
