The character interactions are entertaining enough with their light humor, and overall the cast seems like a fun bunch, especially the landlady ... ouch, she must have destroyed all of Kazuma's pride with her morning remark (Aside from Ibuki, i can already feel her as the thorn that she is in my side ... and considering her apparent clinginess towards Ui, i expect her to remain as the proverbial fifth wheel up to the very end.)

What stood out though was the visual side of things, especially backgrounds - an obvious amount of effort and detail has went in to them, the potential for "scenery porn" is certainly there. The overall look is colorful and vibrant (in a good way), and character designs quite appealed to my tastes, so the end result is a quite visually pleasing package. (Didn't really like Ui's voice though, a wee bit childish tone for my tastes).
Pretty much agree on all counts here. This had a certain charm to it - I enjoyed the fact that the sexual humor was straightforward, and not delivered in what has become the standard lame double entendre format. The backgrounds were lovely, and they did a nice job setting the scene at the inn. OTOH, I'm not nuts for the character designs and the premise could hardly, on paper, be more generic. But then - on paper, you wouldn't think a kid trying the retrieve a hat from a thieving monkey would be as entertaining as that was, so that gives me hope.
