Spoiler for Review:
Finally decided on 6/10.
Rewatching the episode I realized something - besides the Kanon scene this episode overall bored me to tears. I felt that there was a huge lack of emotion in general and the first half with talking about Jessica's room I just kept looking at the bar that tells me how much time there is left in the episode. I'm glad they kept things such as the Wolf and Sheep analogy, but overall I just didn't get any type of feeling. It didn't even look like anyone was sad about Jessica's death, besides Battler. I like how they had George standing up to Rosa and defending Shannon, but that just didn't help.
I'm glad how the evil!Kanon scene was directed, despite the censorship. Say what you want about Chikai Kon - when it comes to fight scenes, she can do them. Now if she can just direct character emotions she'll be set. I suggest we combine Higurashi Rei's director Kawase, who did a very true adaption of the OVA (besides some jumping near the middle of Saikoroshi-hen), and Chikai. Both balance each other out - Kawase knows how to direct emotion and Chikai can direct fight scenes. Perfect match~
But overall, it's just average. The Kanon scene was great, but I can't base my entire score just off that, otherwise it be a 9 or 8. The preview for the next episode looks very promising though.
