Actually, no. He wasn't even there when that happened, he'd left early for work, confident that Akasha would've taken care of everything. And we saw how well
that worked out. The castle was destroyed, Akasha was essentially killed, and Issa was cast down soon afterwards. So he's most likely still alive unless stated otherwise. Hopefully we'll find out, and soon.
