Now we see them stealing a jewel in order to put it back as the eye of a statue venerated by the locals as bringing them good fortune. And in ep3 they seem to have replaced a number of crown jewels in the church where they belonged, for some reason. It's still not clear just exactly what Nijuumensou's overall goals are. The gang appears to have stolen enough stuff for themselves to own a castle on the Rhine and a snazzy zeppelin.

Another excellent episode, for me, showing the l33t skills Chiko has acquired in a year with boys. But perhaps not quite as entrancing as previous episodes, for some reason. Except for Hirano's delivery of "Not eleven. I'm twelve today," and Chiko's first statement that she is the "Daughter of Twenty-Faces." Gave me chills, in sympathy with Twenty-Faces himself. And I love the way they show Chiko so light and fast, especially in the fight-training and in the leap up the wall, to say nothing of the leap onto the elevator.

2channel is interesting, with a number of people saying they hadn't watched previous episodes but loved this one. One poster said that when he saw Hirano's name he thought it was a moe anime and wasn't interested, but he's glad he found out it's something quite different. Other posters are completely infatuated with Chiko, however, and express some rather graphic wishes. A couple of posters said they didn't like the way Hirano is doing the character, but most who express any opinion love her work here.
