On a side note, the special award winner of えんため大賞, K-ON Kokoro Connect, has been released  . The illustrations are LOL, but the readers' comments seem to be overall positive.

I don't dislike the style, I just felt bewitched by the very lively writing in the first half of Mimizuku, while there's nothing original and fresh about MAMA. The gap is disappointing. I still enjoy the world view and whatnot.
The K-on cover you posted totally isn't plagiarism, because Mugi's eyebrows aren't thick enough!!
