This pretty much sums my problems with that particular scene, as well. It feels tacky and revengeful, in a way.
It also goes against the whole "
she was whining, and had given up" arguments. How do you fight against death, when it's a foregone conclusion and seems to have reached the breaking point (remember her hair changing color)?
