Yes, but this happened in the Meta-world. Beato's thoughts there cannot be read by Battler (and we (the readers) do not exist for Beato). I think her thoughts were true.
Well, who knows, I may be in for some good trolling, but for now, I'm fairly sure those were her honest feelings.
