The only time the blood change made any real difference for me physiologically was when they were showing Kotonoha from the cut open Sekai. In the original it was a dark opening, here they were a little bit detailed with the bloody inside...
I'm not really impressed. There was no need to change the blood color and filter it like they did. It made no difference at all.

To me, I think that they also added some more sound effects. I don't really remember them from the tv version. When I saw the DVD version it really seemed as if Sekai killed Makoto DEAD. Also, they prolonged both murder scenes, making it seem as if Sekai stabbed him way more times than depicted before. As well as Kotonoha seemed to really get in there to tear Sekai's uterus open.
