Ep 1 is Amata & Mikono until the abductors and then the Aquaria show up, and after then fight until Aquarion Evol is formed. There's no new material, they just cut the Neo-Deava parts from the first half.
Ep 2 is the one with the expansions. It opens with Suomi & Co. performing the song at Holy Angel academy, btw it's a slightly different version of the song (I suppose it's another part). Many scenes are set to different BGMs than in the aired version, and there are some new tracks as well.
Suomi's exposition is expanded with some new footage and more details, nothing particularly important. There's a hilarious part where Suomi "introduces" the two Aquaria and she's like, "Neo-Deava uses two Aquaria: type F, the divine radiance that can only be piloted by the chosen pure maidens~ *o*)
and type M piloted only by boys."
The training scene for the boys is expanded as well, with Donar and the boys "singing" a hilarious training song. Scenes are switched around a little. We also get to see the guys sortie as the Abductors attack.
After the OP we get a little narration by Crea (over Amata & Mikono + Kagura footage from ep 1): "after 12000 ys the scattered souls have gathered here. The legend of the end is about to begin." And after this it's a replay of Aquarion Evol's formation which then continues into the second half of the aired ep 1&2 with the fight against Kagura.
Some more expansions here: after Kagura first kicks Evol's ass, Amata does a powerup (basically, we learn where the Aquarion Beam came from), everyone is like "wtf just happened" - Zessica asks Amata what he had done ("they never mentioned this in the manual!" XD), and Amata is like "I have no idea it just moved on its own." Zessica says "you mean it was instinct? oh my, a wild one~" and Cayenne shouts her down saying an amateur couldn't have done something like this, but anyway they can't cancel the gattai so Amata has to fight as head of the gattai.
The rest is mostly the same as in the aired version except for some cuts/re-cuts and scenes set to different BGMs - I think there were some scene switches, too, but to be honest the BGM changes threw me off. Anyway, no new material as far as I noticed.
Random tidbit: there are at least two sound bites that are repeated within a short time. ^^;; Nothing big, just a scream by Kagura and one by Amata. Kagura's is really obvious because it's so peculiar - the "badabadabadaaaa" - and I only noticed Amata's because Kaji has a particular hitch in his voice as he screams. It felt a little cheap... they could've at least made it less obvious. Don't they have a whole library of screams from recording?
Ah well.
