Agree. With a bit of twitch, his
method should be feasible, morally and methodologically, provided that he got the skills to make everything flows.
I mean, wasn't anime fillers (not made by author) considered unorthodox too when it 1st appeared ?
It would be a huge scandal too if it's kept secret that the filler part's made by non-author.
