Continued...
Spoiler for For the end of the manga:
The story flashes forward to the final round of the casting call for the Minmei musical. We find out that Sheryl has made it to the final rounds with Lylith, while Rose and Maria have not. Lylith goes first and does exceptionally well, and then Sheryl is called out. When Sheryl sings again "Ai, oboete imasuka?" and Lylith, Rose, Maria, and Grace are surprised by how far she has gotten with her singing in such a short time. However, before Grace can just sit back and enjoy the show she notices that Sheryl is starting to emit fold waves which eventually call on a Vajra that attacks the audition hall. Grace then takes out her gun to fire at the Vajra and protect Sheryl who has frozen stiff with fear. The Vajra causes an explosion which sends one of the stage lights flying towards Sheryl.
Lilyth pushes Sheryl out of the way, which causes the light to spark while hitting the floor causing Lilyth to be set on fire. Before Lilyth burns alive she laments on her luck has ran out, she then turns to Sheryl and tells her that Sheryl's singing lacked more just emotion, it also lacked strength. She tells Sheryl that if Sheryl doesn't put any strength behind her songs then her feelings will never reach. She goes on to tell Sheryl that the reason why she helped her was because Sheryl was the first person that Lylith ever felt could actually rival her in singing and could actually surpass her, and so Sheryl was her first real friend. The Fire flares up and Lylith burns alive before Sheryl. Sheryl then vows to keep singing.
One week later the audition continues and the audience lament on how Lylith actually would have won the lead role, had she not died, they then wonder how Sheryl can continue to sing even though her only friend just died. Before Sheryl sings she laments that her song is now a way for her to convey her feelings to Lylith. Sheryl then shouts out "LISTEN TO MY SONG!!" as the scene flashes to a press conference, where we find out that Sheryl bagged the lead role as Minmei in the play. The press commends Sheryl on her ability to reach others with her song and asks her if she was nervous to which Sheryl answers confidently (but with sad eyes) that "Sheryl Nome will always sing with her body and soul, with all her might". Grace looks at Sheryl sadly as Sheryl vows to her parents, and Lilyith that she will become the best singer in the galaxy.
I'll post my actual thoughts on the manga at a later time.
