Def agree here. His new voice just doesn't have that aura(har har) of unpredictableness or...how to put it... a malevolent silliness that the original had. It's like going from
Mark Hamill's Joker to
John's Dimaggio's Joker. Sure, John's is good, but it lacks what made the Joker good.
