Hahahahahaahah that's how I started too! Exactly like that! As Silvance already said: Have more confidence.
Just experiment with brushes, different backgrounds and C4D's. After you got the hang of that, you could try to play with the gradient maps and adjust the saturation/levels. Just naming a few things that I do normally, when making a signature
Primarily: Follow tutorials! AnimeSuki also has a great
tutorial thread. It's definitely worth checking out. You might even try to do some animations. I would love to have some more colleagues around here
