Well Urahara himself says that he was the reason why Isshin had lost his shinigami powers in the first place; that was his skill. There seemed to be animosity in the air when Urahara appeared too, or at least that’s what I thought. Maybe that was just because Isshin finally got revenge on the hollow that killed his wife, but I feel that it could be more.
