O~kay then, moving on...
emotO ukogneS 01 - Thursday is Rumi Ookubo Day
So we begin with a complete inverse of Sengoku Otome - instead of a modern day Tokyo girl falling into the past, we get the genderbent version of the past falling into modern day Tokyo. While both Megumi Toyoguchi and Rumi Ookubo are Nobunaga, it's fun seeing how each story interprets the character. Ookubo's is just as confident, but a little more naive. Though Toyoguchi's was a bit more subtle in her anger.
I suppose a modern day foil for the girls was needed, but the character's so broadly defined he could've easily been a girl and the tone of the story wouldn't have changed much. At this point, it's still more like a close and really odd friendship anyway.
Aesthetics-wise, this series is the closest to Milky Holmes this season, which means I'll be paying close attention to it. It's solid, and that's always a nice first step.
To ephemera, to products of their time. May they define the era they were produced in - be that era the Warring States period or 2012.
