Banner III was a tear jerker to me because Jinto had to sacrifice his desire to return home to his family in order to protect his home (from the Ahb) while at the same time choosing Lafiel over his adoptive parents and home- all depicted while at a dinner between himself, Lafiel, his adoptive father, and adoptive mother. It had all the leaving the nest imagry but with this awful realization that there was no going back. And he didn't even get a chance to show Lafiel around his home planet. And then Lafiel's words at the end... just... wow. Unlike Crest and Banner I, Banner III was much more focused on Jinto and his personal relations. I also found it a good conclusion to the storyline started in Crest.
