I did a search on "change display name" which resulted in countless threads of which had no relation or relevancy to my query

So I'll apologize beforehand if the following question has already been answered:

How do I go about changing my display/screen/user name, or if it's impossible for me to do this myself can I simply ask an administrator to do this for me?
