I know that the king treats the lacrima/friends badly, but if he charges at the king that will only end bad.
1) He will blow their cover
2) They will get arrested
3) Will never save their friends
4) Get turned into lacrima as well
5) Will turn all the people against him who might go against the king once they find out the truth
