Minna, finally, I have reached the crossroads for this shows, and I'm just one episode behind the current rate.
The episode started with the Taiki delivering the introduction to the current zone that our heroes visited, instead of delivering the usual review-monologue about the current state of affairs in the Digital World.
As well, this was the only zone visited that without our heroes interacting with the local Digimon population.
Spoiler:
To be honest, I was put off with Grademon's quick conversion. I felt the quick conclusion became too sweet in the narrative.
Then, first Kiriha came to have Taiki help him, and right afterwards Tactimon entered the fray to add balance, since I felt that Taiki's kindness was getting out of bounds.
The match was good, that I don't doubt, but I felt it lacked the super quality of other epic matches like the ones against Lilithmon's in the Lake Zone; Matadormon in the Sweets Zone; and many countless others.
I can only hope that with the show entering its new story-arc phase starting from the next episode, then we will be delivered an impressive mega-match between Team Xros Heart vs Tactimon.
Now, the really good things that upped this story-arc end episode for me were that Bugramon wasted no time at snatching all the collected Code Crowns by Team Xros Heart and adding them to his already possessed ones; the revelation that DarkKnightmon is related to Baguramon; and that Taiki along with Zenjirou, Akari, and Shoutmon were whisked away back to the human world.
The things to speculate and theorize about are: why did DarkKnightmon chose such long-winded and roundabout method to meet his agenda?; how come he kept it secret that he was an agent for the Bagura Army all the time?; did he planted a spy within his fellow brother's rank to sow discord amongst the three head officers?; or all those tactics were employed beforehand to distract Baguramon from other pressing matters, as to fact that DarkKnightmon got the Darkness Loader?
Who can't tell us, otherwise, that it was Baguramon's secret ploy right from the start to accomplish a secret agenda with the Darkness Loader?
Because that speculative route makes me think that Baguramon, after all, thinks poorly or nothing about his own subordinates and placed more faith in DarkKnightmon's competence.
