Well, I've finally gotten around to reviewing
Ore no Imouto's soundtrack over at my usual hideout.
In hammering out what the pluses and minuses are, first off, it's clear that this is the first Satoru Kousaki album that I felt was definitely enjoyable outside of context. The melodies were solid and engaging, Kousaki delivers up with a lot of melodic development, and there isn't so much minimalism as before. Also, who could turn away from the Meruru theme song? That's one of the most memorable themes that's popped up so far.
The bad? Well, it's just not all that memorable. None of the songs have a really catchy melodic hook to reel me in, so it kinda suffers in that respect. If you'll ask me whether or not the music's good, the answer is a solid yes. But as to whether it's memorable, definitely not!
