Yes it was yukariko's doing. here's the proof:

firstly,you know....before UFO flying scene, Maya called Nagi's name wasn't she? how does she know Nagi's name? she never asked for her name before.

second, Maria, Hina and others appeared right after Nagi and hayate woke up near Yukariko's grave. Hina said they were asked by someone to picking them up, but who asked them? no body remembered.

third, yes! the alien picture nagi drew 8 years ago is totally resembling maya.

and last, in the conclusion scene when hayate came to visited yukariko's grave, nagi said to hayate : "Don't ask too much of the dead. If you ask her something like that, Next time, It'll be more than just an alien. "
so, it's clear isn't it ? that it was yukariko's works from the beginning. maybe maya is the reincarnation form of yukariko?
