As someone who absolutely, utterly despises cockroaches and other bugs (one bug genocide, please!), I consider spiders to be allies. They're still a bit scary and icky, you don't like them climbing up on your body, some of them are probably not good to have around (poisonous ones, naturally), and heavy infestation are very, very bad for you, but as far as small monstrosities go they're really quite bros.
They eat my enemies. That's a good in my book.
