But what about how he is in the deepest part of the area and there is no food?
Why is only the deepest part of the cave filled with light?
If he is a ghost, then it makes sense. If you think the deepest part of the cave is connected to the world of the dead, then it works.
He didn't die properly/turned into a ghost because of his hope to fight a stronger trainer.
So after you defeat him, he finally gets to rest in peace.

You still have plenty of time though, since it needs to come out supposedly in the Fall PLUS no one knows how long it will take to be localized...
I wish they just remade Crystal instead of doing both Gold and Silver again...
