This might just be me but I don't think that everytime Keima "tells us something" it has to always be a reference from some other anime but I might be wrong.

We can't say for sure whether her disappearances have anything to do with the spirit in her. From my point of view, it is actually caused by her lack of confidence in herself.

Of course her disappearances have something to do with the spirit. This isn't the kind of world where people just disappear on their own. That's an unusual occurrence and thus needs an unusual explanation. It can be caused by the spirit and be triggered by her self-esteem issues, this isn't mutually exclusive.
