I guess the former is my case, then. Although it's not exactly
hate or anything of that sort, but more like a general dislike/lack of enjoyment thus far.

Again, since I'm not into LNs and I am mostly an
anime-only viewer myself (few manga exceptions aside), I can't help but
sympathize with those "casual viewers"
though I'm more or less fine with how Shana has been portrayed up to now.
