Sniping is still a psychological component of warfare; having your enemy cap your buddy right beside, out of nowhere you isn't something you don't want to write home about. But that is his job; to kill your morale, any means possible. It is a slow and patient process; one soldier at a time.

Mmm yar....but that doesn't mean that the sniper who does it isn't scum. See...many people excuse Hap Arnold and LeMay for firebombing Tokyo and Japan in general to ash while moaning about Nanking or excuse the razing of Dresden and Hamburg while labeling the lynching of downed British and USAAF crewmen as "murder"
It happens and it does but killing is killing, no matter who you kill and the worst are the ones who do it and genuinely believe in the rightness of their actions (Not how it was a hard and necessary but unforgiveabale nonetheless but those who actually believe it was morally right and kill with hatred)
