========== At the Academy’s operations room ==========
Maya watches the recorded duel session footage from the arena’s surveillance cameras. Her head held up above her palms as her elbows rest of the table.
‘She’s become this skilled in a matter of days... Is this the result of Arisawa-kun’s non-standard trainings?’
The footage then shows an overview of the arena while Tsurugi was deflecting shot from the wing bits towards Cecilia.
‘Taking on a representative cadet in a mock duel with nothing more than a sword…’
The door behind her opens, prompting her to turn her head and see Chifuyu walking towards her.
“Orimura-sensei!”
“What is it, Yamada?”
“Another duel session, only this time it’s between Tsurugi and Cecilia.”
“The outcome?” She firmly asks, apparently disinterested by details.
“Tsurugi defeated her, Sensei.”
“…what?” A spark of curiosity emerges from her tone as her eyes narrow slightly.
“Yeah… With a training unit, no less.”
“Show me.”
Maya rewinds the footage and turns the monitor around as Chifuyu comes up next to her and leans forward to look at the screen.
The footage comes to the part where Tsurugi deflected the concurrent beam fire from all four wing bits towards Cecilia, who gets pushed back upon blocking the shots.
It goes on to where Tsurugi charged towards the Blue Tears as Cecilia launched the missiles on her hips.
The overview camera shows Tsurugi deploying a frontal shield and tanking the full brunt of the strike, unfazed at the slightest as the explosion and smoke engulfs her unit.
Not long after, the footage shows her jumping out from above the smoke in her Uchigane then lands the final blow on Cecilia.
Maya stops the video and looks up to Chifuyu, who then stands up and looks back at her.
“She’s a potential game-changer, Sensei. Do we still leave her in Class Three or should we switch her with a student from a better class?”
“She’ll remain in Class Three.”
“Is that really okay, Sensei? Her performance is on par with one of Class One’s best students.”
“If we put all the good students into one class, the other classes will lose their morale. We don’t want that to happen now, do we?”
