The other Ferdinand got credit for this, though I did absorb a shot from the dead Ferdi, track it, shoot it again to bring it to 20%, and drive around behind it to where I was staring at said hatch. The friendly Ferdinand and I fired at about the same time.
Incidentally, I decided to skip (for now) repair skill on my T-44 driver so that they are now working on Clutch Braking on top of Smooth Ride and Off-Road Driving. Sure the T-44 is already pretty nimble and the bonus from Clutch Braking is only 5% greater turning rate, but I want to see just how spry I can make a Soviet medium.
I made up for it in the next game by getting three kills in about twelve seconds with the Churchill III, by getting in the very final shot on a PzIV, Churchill I, and T49, right after someone else on my team had almost killed each of them.
