I'm new to this sort of thing but was looking at buying a un-assembled resin kit for a friend of mine who's also a Rozen Maiden fan

Having not assembled one before myself I was wondering if they come with paint? Or what things will I need to buy to go with it
and are they difficult?
I'm pretty confused.
