I don't know how to feel given that the developments presented in this episode looked out of place, though that would be the writer's fault.

Spoiler:

First of all, Inori admitted that she may have hurt Arisa and is afraid of herself.

It gives me relief that our Inori was not responsible for hurting Arisa, let alone killing the latter as the previous episode left on me that impression.

I still follow with the Mana traces subconsciously awakening within Inori, or some subconscious personality, designed likely by Yuu and Shuichirou, attempting to possess Inori at full.

It hurted a lot....

For me it hurt that the implied scene between the glasses bully and Arisa suggested that she had no other choice but to offer her purity, given how her eyes before that moment showed signs of going down to a collapse.

Our dear Arisa was consumed by the ugly and corrupted adulthood, which is a big "No-No" in the world of anime for girl characters like her.

It doesn't matter if she had no other choice, particularly to let all the students known about them dying if their Voids break and planning ahead the coup d'etat to dethrone Shuu. But, the writers inflicting that fate in her was just too cruel for me to bear.

This brings about the moment of deception....

The King is death. Long live the King.

Shu fell by all the students turning on him, because of his lies and keeping secrets from them, and going as far as treating them harshly.

But, moreso, with the resurrected Gai proclaiming Shu was just a fake and an usurper, and he's the real deal, the real King. The King that Arisa has always looked to with starry eyes.
