You know about that "joke" that people were saying how Angel Beats was a sign that Kyoani will stop doing "Key"-based animes back then? Well... it's less of a fantasy now considering Hisaya (main writer for Kanon and Sola) has combined with PA Works and the director of the Professor Layton movie (which PA also did) to make Tari Tari. Yes, I do know this is just me rabbling on misleading facts since Hisaya is a freelance writer, but I do find it funny how two "ex-Key" writers (Jun Maeda being the other one) are looking away from what many would consider more normal, Kyoani.
But you know, I kinda stopped praising Kyoani ever since they were pigeonholed on doing the same ol' "slice of life" day in and out with those unattractive (imo) chipmunk character designs, so I'm kinda glad another high quality studio like PA got the job. I think it's almost guaranteed we are gonna get top notch scenery porn and character designs (love those concept art). Now hopefully the directing and writing will be of similar quality. Crossing my fingers it won't be a bloody mess like Angel Beats was. Yes PA, I still remember that nasty stain on your resume.
EDIT: Just got notified that Sekiguchi Kanami is doing the character design and is the general animation director who did the designs for True Tears, Canaan and Hanasaku Iroha. Yep, that's almost guaranteed eye candy at its finest.
And to the rejoice of -some- people, no Mari Okada to troll you with infuriating shipping, pervy fanservice and recently, excessive melodrama. Despite being a Okada fan and all... I'm actually GLAD she's not in this in her current state. She's in crazy party girl mode with Aquarion EVOL and BRS atm
