I know they said they were 'saving' the designs for an eventual anime adaption, but I believe we still have at least another couple years to go with GoL and they don't decide whether or not to produce an anime series overnight, so I think that if they don't have any plans on animating FT by the end of the manga, they'll probably go on with it.
worst case scenario, they could keep the cloaks and/or use only the designs already revealed.
