I think it compliments his pent up rage quite well.
Speaking of his titan form design, the only thing I didn't quite like in the anime was the red muscle crack thing (when it looked he was being scanned). I didn't really see the point in them doing that. I hope that won't happen every single time he punches something in his titan form. I'm just nitpicking though.

I want to post there, but I'd feel out of place since I've read the manga. Only worthwhile thing I'd have to post in the episode threads is complimenting the amazing animation.
