The choice for using Queen, Lord, or King was down to context. It makes way more sense to label a female character with a feminine title than a masculine one. Queen was the most fuwa fuwa, so that was chosen.

In chapter 21, there were several lines where DQ was labelled Demon Lord. This was a change I introduced. Consider the following lines:

My Demon Queen is not a "Demon Queen"!
My Demon Queen is not a Demon Lord!


The former was the original translation I got from the script.

The line that was eventually used was "My master is not a Demon Lord!"
