To continue where a certain girl above me left off….
Spoiler for Good Evening Vivio:
Nanoha was in the middle of cooking when she heard the door being slammed suddenly, tell-tale sign that a grumpy Vivio was now home. After checking her pot to make sure the water wouldn’t become too low and burn whatever it was she was cooking, she greeted her daughter as she passed through the kitchen and growled something that could resemble “Hi”
“Good evening. Had a bad day?”
“Not at all. After all the advice you gave to me this morning, I had the most wonderful bus ride and then a most intellectual morning” Sarcasm had come to Vivio as naturally as it did to all teenagers when their mother’s asked them how their day went.
Not paying attention to the tone and only lifting her eyebrow at her for the sarcasm, Nanoha went onto her normal routine of telling off Vivio for some things she had to do.
“Don’t forget to clean your room, I went in this morning and it was a complete mess, your Physics book was lying there and I know you were frantically looking for it during lunch time, the cat was meowing just a little while ago so please go and feed him….” The ranting went on for a time before a screen came up and started beeping softly while she was bent over her kitchen and Vivio was thanking Heaven and all the other entities for this chance to stop her mother’s annoying words.
“Can’t you answer a call?” Was the first thing that came to the teen’s ears as she finished her thankful prayer. Grumbling low enough to escape her mother’s ears she pressed a button and one of her friend’s face came up. She - of course - took the opportunity and started talking like there was no tomorrow. After a good half-an-hour Nanoha had had enough and sang out loudly “Viviooooooo, come and eat dinnnnnnnnnnnerrrrrrrrr”
The blonde girl would have put a tomato to shame had and Nanoha couldn’t bite back a grin as the teen reluctantly and more grumpily than ever shut off the communication screen and sat at the table after a few very low mumbling and grumbling.
Just then, Fate decided to make her presence known and she spoke softly but with a hint of amusement to her wife. “Nanoha you should give Vivio a break.” Obviously trying to contain her smile from spreading all over her face to spare Nanoha another ‘grumbling round’ with their daughter. The other blonde could only shove her food as fast as she could so as to get away fast from her brown-haired mother’s future tirade that she was sure would come.
“I’m trying to make her a little bit more responsible” argued Nanoha “It’s not like it’ll hurt her to be more organized. That way, she wouldn’t forget her books all the time and wouldn’t trip over her clothes as much as she does.”
“Yes, perhaps so, but still you shouldn’t smother her. That’ll only make her more rebellious” Fate talked patiently, knowing full well that this was a typical Nanoha-and-Vivio moment.
The latter had already finished her plate, gotten up and was walking out of the kitchen when she heard those words and turned around to say “You see? You should listen more to Fate-mama. SHE knows how to manage me” and stormed away before her other mother could reply.
The blue-eyed one glared at her partner “F-A-T-E”
Said girl grinned fully now and spoke so low as to make sure the teen wouldn’t hear her out “The thing about tripping on her clothes she got from you”
Nanoha smiled lightly and said "Not true" knowing perfectly well Fate was right.
