Thinking about it a bit more, the song they use is a really nice song, and it lets them skip the tedious Zero Time intro that takes up a bit of time.
It's strange to me. In my opinion, Monochrome along with the blue background for Zero Time creates a more mystical feeling. Episode 9's track with the orange background gave me a more noble or action-y feeling. With the Apprivoise intro gone, their reactions less shocked, and the song changed, it feels like there's probably going to be a change in how they regard Zero Time or understand it later on, because it feels more familiar now.
I'm probably late to the party, but the lack of Monochrome is really getting to me.
