I know that you are not too fond of it, but the pen tool can really help you out with outlines sometimes. You can try and do some of the outer lines first to start getting the hang of it.

Uh dan you do know I've been using the pen tool? you probaly didn't notice since my work is that horrible.
Anyways lol I stuffed this Icon up while I was testing icon masks,lighting,effects and some tuts. Yeah I know it could be better. So I'll fix it once I finally get the hang of doing these right.
