Ah, yes... I love Aidou. He's definitely my favorite vampire, and his antics just absolutely crack me up! "I found another treasure...~" Haha! I don't think broken glass is a treasure. He's like a stereotypical "blonde" (no offense to any blondes) that hordes... shiny things.
Deviation from the manga isn't necessarily a bad thing. There is the rare occasion when the deviation can make parts of the anime better than the manga itself. But that's hard to do.
