Ah, that explains why I couldn't remember the discussion.
I've only seen the anime itself, as well as the Picture Dramas.
And yeah, you're probably right about what you said about waiting for the other half of the show and what it has to say on the matter before passing judgment. It's probably safe to assume that season two will F around with what we've considered to be true. It sure is going to be a blast to see what it comes down to in the end. Nevertheless... discussions and friendly arguing about stuff like this, halfway through, is pretty fun, and as a watcher it increases my emotional engagement in the story and the characters. Heck, we have to do
something while waiting for the continuation. ^^
