A bill to specifically allow the carrying of firearms by students with valid permits died in leglislature in January of last year. I doubt those legislators are proud of the lives lost, but I also doubt that they've even considered that this blood could be on their hands. I'm sure people are trying to spin this in the direction of further restrictions for law abiding citizens.
