Anyway, it seems like Law shrunk the room to surround Smoker's heart. That (combined with haki I'm guessing) allowed him to take it just as Smoker couldn't see him, as he was behind the boulder.
What a good chapter though. It will be interesting to see how Law reacts to Luffy. Oda really does like ending chapters on cliffhangers doesn't he?
