Well Emi is homesick, and we got a glimpse of family life with Maou and Emi. Maou is father, Emi is mother, Chiho is big sister, Alshel is somewhat a butler watching over a young lady teaching her to eat a balance meal. Also, Maou cannot eat Ginger, in Japanese cuisine that is close to blasphemy to the Food Gods there.
