There are plenty of media players out there that can handle Windows Media content. One cross-platform media player is
mplayer. You can just copy-paste the MMS URL specified inside ASX files and add the -cache command for smooth playback.
I run the blog that has been linked in an earlier post. I know, it's a bit misleading to say "WMP only" when it's only the Windows Media Video format (*goes to mass replace that statement*). Although DRM is another issue. That usually requires Internet Explorer and Windows Media Player. I warn of video under DRM, I also repost them on YouTube. Fortunately, that wasn't the case with this promo.
BTW,
FlashGet won't get rid of DRM. It will just capture WMV streams.
