Where I live, there isn't really much danger, nor can my cats kill rare birds or other protected animals (since they just don't live here).
I would feel really bad to not let my cats out. I actually think it is cruel to keep them locked in. Especially during summer. Of course, this depends where you live. (I would never let my cats go outside if I would live in a city or next to a dangerous road, and I certainly never let my cats outside during the night.).
My cat never really strayed around much anyway, since he was scared of everything. He prefered lying on our huge balcony. Sadly, I still lost him recently to an uncurable sickness (he did not get because he went outside). As one sees, keeping them inside wont insure their survival ,_, *sob*
@Episode 12: Hmm funny. That woman who wanted to take Chi never came in the manga. I hope they'll change more of the story, so it gets more inetresting for those who already read the manga ^^
