I personally think that she hides that she is rich and probably beautiful because she wouldn't want others to look at her that way and she doesn't want to be the main attention all the time. Well, at least that is the feeling I got from watching the 1st Season.

I see I see. However, it is weird that she has to have a persona to hide the "beautiful-rich" Saori with the "dorky-otaku" Saori. Nevertheless, I still love this character.
