Time flows quite fast in Achiga-hen. The story begin at the time when Nodoka and main characters in Achiga-hen were in elementary school, but as story progress Achiga-hen story will get to the point where Saki anime end (Saki’s team win prefecture round) and will go even farther than that.

Well, that gives them the proper excuse to include Season 1 characters. So, that eliminates my concern regarding the idea that Nodoka and Saki didn't meet until high school.

Though, they better not touch into the Nationals here. This section needs a full series.
