For the sake of argument, I'm just going to say no. Hakuoro might be related, but it's so distant that it no longer matters. We could be talking about generation and generations removed. It's just that the anime gives no accurate concept of time between eventsof the flashbacks and present day, so we naturally get the impression that they are closer related than they actually are.
