Agreed. I think the series, for the most part, up until the last 5 or so chapters of the manga and SRZ were, was pure gold. Kenji and Yakumo especially were especially likable, imo, for guys because Kenji represents the sefless guy who's all about the girl he loves, but is still not a soft loser (since he's a thug, lol) and Yakumo because she's like... most guys' ideal girl, lol.
